What's Nurse Louise Been Up To So Far In 2025?

It's been a busy start to the year at Secret Skin Aesthetics! Here's everything I've been up to.

Since the start of 2025, I’ve been lucky enough to take part in some incredible events, training and projects, all of which have been so inspiring. From attending the very first DIBI Milano Skincare Awards to collaborating on a new consultation space and deep-diving into dermatology and menopause care, it’s been non-stop ( in the best way!).

Here’s a little round-up of what I’ve been up to lately.

DIBI Milano Skincare Awards

I had the pleasure of attending the first-ever DIBI Milano Skincare Awards, and what an event it was! They celebrated their best reps, top-performing stockists and all the incredible things happening in the world of skincare. I was really proud to hear them mention how well we're doing at Secret Skin.

There were some great insights into new product trends and the future of aesthetics, plus plenty of networking opportunities with like-minded practitioners.

Renovating At We Are One

If you’ve visited We Are One recently, you might have noticed some exciting changes! Teri from The Laser Loft and I have been hard at work renovating a consultation room. This new space will be used for advanced skin scans and other exciting skin health services (more on that soon – stay tuned!).

Creating a dedicated space to really look beneath the skin means we can better understand your skin health and provide even more tailored treatments. I can’t wait to welcome you into this beautiful new room soon.

Dermatology Training

I also squeezed in some time for a dermatology course, diving even deeper into the complexities of the skin. From treating problematic concerns to understanding the changes our skin goes through as we age, this course was such a valuable experience.

As you know, I’m a firm believer that great skin starts with knowledge, and I’m always looking for ways to expand mine so I can better support you on your skincare journey.

Menopause Event

Another highlight was attending a menopause-focused event where I learned so much about the changes women go through during this stage of life. It was great to hear how the NHS is now recognising aesthetics as a valuable way to support women through menopause, including referring patients to private aesthetic clinics like ours.

This collaboration between the NHS and aesthetics is a huge step forward, and it’s so encouraging to see how we can work together to help women feel their best, inside and out.

Skin Health, Inside & Out

At the heart of everything I’ve been doing lately is a focus on skin health and skin quality. Whether it’s through new techniques, advanced products or simply listening to what your skin is telling us, I’m always looking for ways to enhance the longevity of your treatments.

It’s not just about what’s on the surface – true wellness starts within. I’m so excited to keep exploring ways to help you feel amazing, both inside and out.
